Last week was my birthday so we took off for a few days to Los Angeles.

We did all the big tourist things...went to Rodeo Drive, Malibu, Santa Monica Pier, etc. We saw a couple movies or tv shows being filmed...one right outside our hotel but we didn't recognize anyone. We did see George Lopez after he did a benefit concert at our hotel but since Susan had never heard of him, it wasn't all that exciting.

Saw the walk of fame in Hollywood and saw a giant Elmo

Ate some good meals...Maya isn't quite tall enough though

Went to the giant mall known as Universal Studios City Walk (and had to cross the picket lines to get there, though no one called us scabs)

The best part though was that the hotel had an indoor pool so Maya went for her first swim

Maya did great on the flights so we are now a little more prepared for our trip to Maui after Thanksgiving.
